That never happened, is the right continuation from the title. Toyota had plans for this car, to make it run the 24h race from Le Mans, but since the TS030 Hybrid was already planned, this project was cancelled.

The main reason this car didn't happen, was that Toyota had issues with logistics, since they didn't want 2 projects in the same series.

Even though the car has been tested at Valencia, in May 2011, it never ended in a competition. Further more, they wanted to race the car in the VLN series for customer teams at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Various setups were developed for the car, including one for sprint racing in the FIA GT Championship. Powering the LFA was a V10 rated at 475 HP and 560 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm put to the ground via a six-speed gearbox geared to 300 km/h.

The experience gathered in this project has been put to good use in the Gazoo Racing LFA, which took several wins at the 24h Race.
