Sián is Lamborghini's first step into high performance hybrid vehicles. Lamborghini chose to make this step using the Aventador's platform, also, if you find it familiar looking, that's because it reminds us of the Veneno.

"The Lamborghini Sián represents the first step in Lamborghini’s route to electrification, and expedites our next-generation V12 engine,” said Stefano Domenicali, Lamborghini CEO. “Its Sián moniker, meaning ‘flash or lightning’ in Bolognese dialect, denotes the first electrification of a Lamborghini production car and confirms our strong connection to the territory in which we operate.”

The car looks spectacular, Lamborghini has it's way to play with parts and surfaces and Sián makes no exception, agressive is an understatement.

The heart, is a 6.5L V12 engine, paired with a 48 V engine, which ads 38HP for a total of 808HP, the most powerful Lamborghini to day. The electric motor that’s incorporated into the gearbox, provides instant response and better performance. Lamborghini says this direct connection between electric motor and wheels is a first for a low-voltage hybrid.

Another premiere for the automotive world is the storage unit Lamborghini used, instead of a battery pack, they used a supercapacitor, which is capable of storing three times more power and weights three times less than a battery of the same specs.

The car is limited to a 63 unit production, with all of them already sold out.

Expect live photos of this, as team PS-Garage will attend this year's Frankfurt International Autoshow.
