Jaguar F-Type Project 7

Last year we showcased a special program developed by Jaguar, called Project 7 Concept, a roadster based on the freshly released F-Type.

Now, due to the debut of 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Jaguar announced the F-Type Project 7, which is the fastest Jaguar ever made - and it will be build in a limited production of 250 units.

There's no official information about the performance, but the guys over Auto Express, say that the car might feature a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 567 bhp (422 kW). It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

To handle the increased power, new anti-roll bars and beefier front suspension knuckles have been installed. Other highlights include adaptive dampers, stiffer springs, carbon-ceramic brakes and a torque vectoring system.

In design terms, the car hasn't been althered too much, there's production model wing mirrors, carbon anti-roll hoop, shorter windshield and a more aerodynamic bodykit which increases the downforce by 177%.

The deliveries will start somewhere in mid-2015.
