Prior to Frankfurt International Autoshow, Porsche has finally unveiled their full electric car, the Taycan, which is a direct answer to Tesla's Model S.

It is a Porsche alright, sharing design language with the 911, but distinctive enough to have it's own identity. Porsche managed to keep a lot of the Mission E Concept, it arrives as a 4-door sedan, but with a beautiful sloping roofline, which reminds us of the Panamera.

Being Porsche, performance wasn't left out, The Turbo S varianta and it's overboost feature, develops 750 HP and an insane amount of torque set at 1050 Nm. It's capable of hitting 100km.h in 2.8s, 200km.h in 9.8s and that's without any loss of power.

All the power is sent to the wheels via an 2-speed transmission installed on the rear axle. 1st gear is focused on acceleration and the 2nd one assures a long ratio for high efficiency and high power reserves.

Let's talk about range, Porsche has fitted a 93.4 Kwh lithium-ion battery, capable of sustaining up to 450km of range. Charging via a normal power outlet takes up to 11h, with an 150 kW fast charger it takes 36 mins to reach 80% and using a 270 kW charger can load up the battery to 80% in 22 minutes.

Prices are the following, Turbo variant will cost $153.310, while Turbo S will top at $187.610
