After all the teasing, spies, more teasing and more spies, the real deal is here, here is the new Civic TypeR and it comes with a pompous name "a race car for the road".
Exterior wise, Honda really went all in, it features a wide-body aerodynamic kit, with large flares, large front air intakes and generous bumper splitter. Along the back, there's an aggressive diffuser, 4 round tail pipes and a devilish looking spoiler - which unfortunately, didn't house the concept LED tails.
Under the bonnet, there's a 2.0L 4 banger turbo charged unit, which develops 310HP and 400Nm of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox - which allows the car to sprint to 100km.h in 5.7s.
Inside you can find everything you expect from a car in this segment, sports seats covered in a nice suede effect cloth, with a leather wrapped steering wheel and an aluminium machined gear knob with aluminium pedals.
