"We are marking the beginning of a new era with the new nomenclature. The successor to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, which has been incredibly successful worldwide, will now be called the Mercedes-AMG C63" says Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
Now, onto the tech specs, there will be 2 versions, the C63, which comes with a 4.0 litre, V8 turbocharged, capable of developing 470hp and 650Nm of torque and C63 S versions, which has the same unit, but develops 507hp and 700Nm of torque - 1st one can sprint to 100km.h in 4.1s, while the latter in 4s flat.
Both units are mated to AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed sport transmission with paddle shifters that has been updated from the previous model, delivering shorter shift times.
On the looks side, AMG hasn't gone too wild, instead, they somewhat used a AMG design package, which, a non-car related person, wouldn't quite distinguish this from a regular model.
