"Over the years, we have developed and refined our own design language and we have always gone that little bit further with our special series cars like CC-100, One-77 and The Vulcan . The Vanquish Zagato Concept shows how our two companies can come together and push the definition of Aston Martin design", said Marek Reichman, Aston's Executive VP and Chief Creative Officer.

The DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial is being characterized as an "exotic cross of Aston Martin DNA with Italian flair and Milanese inspiration." It has a double bubble roof and a rather peculiar front fascia with retro headlights and a prominent grille.

The hidden gem, which we posted as a teaser a few days ago, is a Roadster version of the Coupe they previously revealed. And if you think that they simply chopped the roof of the coupe, you couldn't be any more wrong, because the Z4, is a roadster.

It was a matter of time until the production model of the 24-hour race car, would hit up the web as an official announcement. And it did, via official PDF brochure, picked up by CarsUK.
The base of this car is the V12 Vantage, but with a whole body of aluminium and carbon fiber, built by Zagato. Engine or drivetrain haven't been modified, it's the same V12 engine, which develops 510 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels, by a 6-speed manual gearbox, combined with a limited-slip differential.
If we take on what Aston Martin promises, the car could hit the 100km.h mark in 4.2s and a top-speed of 304Km.h
The wheels are also Zagato's unique design, measuring 19" wrapped around Pirelli PZero rubber, behind them we can spot Ceramic Brakes with 6-pot in the front and 4-pot in the back.
In our previous article about the AM Zagato we already mentioned that the first two cars made would be trackcars. Now a spyphotographer of the Dutch carblog aw.nl spotted one of these racecars being unloaded for some testing on the Nürburgring.
50 years ago Zagato and Aston Martin made their first car together, the DB4 Zagato. This special occasion calls for a new model!
Their new collaboration based on the Aston Martin V12 Vantage will be shown to the public at the prestiges Concours d’Elegance in Villa d’Este.
