Jaguar F-Type Project 7

Last year we showcased a special program developed by Jaguar, called Project 7 Concept, a roadster based on the freshly released F-Type.

Now, due to the debut of 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Jaguar announced the F-Type Project 7, which is the fastest Jaguar ever made - and it will be build in a limited production of 250 units.

If you can think about those lazy mornings, when you could use some extra sleep, but you need to wake up and take the kids to school, otherwise they will be late, well, fear not, because you just shaved a few minutes off.

Jaguar has revealed the Sportbrake version of the XFR-S, that's insane, really, beacuse you get the same 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine delivering 542 bhp and 680 Nm, capable of travelling from 0-100km.h in 4.6s - because kid's car sick is totaly over-rated.

So, what is it? It's an aluminum-bodied roadster. What's it's purpose? It was built in 4 months, it's based on the F-Type and it celebrates Jaguar's seven victories at Le Mans between 1951 and 1990.

The design has some retro cues, like a D-Shape integrated roll-over hoop, also modern cues, new aggressive bumpers, side skirts and 20" alloys, wrapped around Pirelli PZero tires, numerous carbon fiber components.

The interior is completed by diamond-quilted leather, carbon fiber trim and composite racing seat, with the passenger removed, a helmet support takes it's place.

Earlier this week, automotive blogs posted some spy shots of what it appears, an estate version of the Jaguar XF. That means, BMW 5-series variant, Mercedes-Benz E-Klass estate and Audi A6 estate, will have another competitor!

Out while testing, the car has been spotted in Britain, you couldn't miss the name, as it was typed in bold letters on the side of the car, as well with a "follow them on twitter" message.
