2013 Renault Clio Cup

Based on the recent released RS, the Clio Cup comes with a welded roll cage, a strong monocoque chassis and an aerodynamic package that helps it handle better at high speeds. It came to replace the old Cup model, that's been participating in competitions since 2006.

The new Clio Cup is powered by the same 1.6-liter direct-injected turbo unit, tuned by Oreca Magny-Cours that produces 220 hp and a constant torque of 270 Nm. Gear changes are done by a Sadev six-speed sequential transmission that shifts gears in just 100 milliseconds.

2013 Renault Clio Sport Tourer Speculative Render

Few days ago, Renault released video showcasing the new Clio hatch - somehow, first unofficial image of Clio Sport Tourer was also included.

We took that opportunity and tried to speculate how it would look with the wheels on, cleaned and with a proper stance.

As seen from the spy shot, estate version of the Clio features the same hidden door handles on rear doors, giving it sleeker look. Extended roof line allows for an extra window panel as well as larger and more robust tail lights.

2013 Renault Clio RS

Of course we couldn't stay away from speculating the new Clio RS, because the normal version is so cool!

Here is our interpretation, what changed? Lower ride height, bigger wheels, sportier aero kit - more aggressive front bumper, with plenty space for the intercooler and rear diffuser with rectangular exhaust tips. Added a bigger rear trunk wing, also removed chrome trimmings from the doors and the rear hatch.

As for performance, after a long period, it seems the car might be powered by the 1.6 turbo charged unit, developing around 220HP.

The entire new design has been inspired by the spy shots floating around automotive blogs.
